Once Beryl moves into the western Caribbean Sea later this week, the system will continue to encounter high wind shear where some additional weakening in possible. Beryl is still forecast to remain a hurricane as it heads towards the Yucatan Peninsula by the weekend.

High pressure will keep Beryl south of the United States and is not a threat to Florida.

Another low-pressure system is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms in the central Atlantic. Environmental conditions are only marginally conducive for additional development of this system while it approaches the Lesser Antilles.

It has a 10% chance of development within the next 48 hours and a 20% chance of development within the next 7 days
