Young Danish sensation Holger Rune continues to make some headlines for the number of changes in his team. Recently, his mother also dropped out of managing her son for all the matches, but continues to show her unconditional love and support toward her son.
Holger Rune had posted a picture after the loss in Rotterdam, featuring some highlights of the match. With the caption “ Acapulco and US spring “, Rune hinted at his next destination. Supporting the Dane was his mother, who sent loads of motivation through her comment on the post.

Holger’s mother, not only sent words of motivation, but it was wiser than many would think. As any mother would, Aneke also had strong words to push her son forward in the sport, even if it meant that she could not join him in the journey.
After the Australian Open, there have been some major changes in Rune’s coaching team. He first separated with Severin Luthi, then Boris Becker. Lately, he also revealed that they had decided that it was healthy if his mother did not accompany him to all the tournaments. Hence, Aneke was not seen during Rune’s short run at Rotterdam.
Holger Rune continues his tennis slump, as he faced another early exit at the Rotterdam Open
20-year-old Rune has not made headlines for his tennis yet, as he looks to fixate on his team and work with them for a long time.
After changes last year, with the help of Boris Becker, the Dane had won crucial games, to become one of the most talked about players towards the end of 2023. However, in 2024, came another Rune, who lost early. He lost in the second round of the Slam.
Following this was his decent run at Marseille, where the 20-year-old went till the semi-finals. Just when the fans thought that Rune was catching onto some momentum, he failed to shine in his next tournament. At the Rotterdam Open, Rune suffered another early exit as he lost to Alexander Shevchenko in the second round.
Coming back from a set down, the Dane tried to keep himself in the game, but couldn’t match the level of his opponent and lost in the decider set. This marked another failed run in 2024, as Rune gears up for the US Spring, and his run there.
