Report of trailer explosion in Garden City

Two people have been taken to the hospital after an explosion destroyed a trailer in Garden City.

Boise Fire told CBS 2 News that the two people were taken to a local hospital. Boise Fire said the people are expected to be okay.

"The patients were evaluated," said Boise Fire Battalion Captain, Steve Rasulo. "It was determined that due to some facial singing of the facial hair that warrants a trip to the hospital."

The fire was caused by a propane heater inside the trailer, Boise Fire said.

Ada County Dispatch says the call came in at 7:43 a.m. A dog did die in the fire.

A designer at a welding shop next door, Brad Shaw, said he didn't hear the explosion, but saw the flames.

"We're in here just kind of in shock," Shaw said. "It stinks right before the holidays to have your home burned down and to lose your dog and everything you got. It's just heartbreaking."<>>

A vehicle parked nearby was also damaged.
